STANTON – Most people don’t know where Stanton is other than being told it’s the little bump on Interstate 20 in West Texas, the small town between Midland and Big Spring, or the “Home of 3000 friendly people and a few old soreheads.

But over the past two years, Snellgrove Enterprises has earned the Snap-On Tools President’s Cup for being the top Multiple Franchise in the United States; making Stanton home to the best Snap-On dealer from coast to coast.

Snap On Tools started in 1920. A cultural shift was underway in the United States as the automobile was rising in popularity, creating a need for an automotive repair industry. Joseph Johnson, an engineer, came up with “Five unique handles and ten socket that snapped on interchangeably, coined “Five do the work of Fifty”, and he launched a tool company. Along with his coworker, William Seidemann, Snap-On Wrench Company was formed and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and that was the beginning of world wide campaign to revolutionize the tool industry.

Snap-On entered the global arena in 1931, and can be found in more than 130 countries around the world and has over $3.5 Billion in revenue worldwide.

Team Snellgrove is Snap-On’s number 1 Multiple Franchise in the United States for the second year. This award is based on the weekly average per route truck for a calendar year.

Snellgrove Enterprises own five Snap On Franchises spanning from Big Spring through Midland/Odessa, Andrews north to Lamesa.

The individuals on the Snellgrove Enterprise’s Snap-On Team are Brian Snellgrove, Darrell Butt, Jason Ramos, Jose Dominguez, Brad Hamblin, Austin Hamblin, Jake Reid, Joe Espino, Randy Jones, and Todd Akins.

They come from all walks of life. Some of the guys are veterans, some are mechanics, some college students, and some have worked other jobs. The team consists of route truck drivers, some who are truck assistants, and others work in the Snap-On warehouse.

Their children are Ashton Barker and her husband Drew, who along with their young children, Hagen and Bristow Barker, live in Brady. Drew Snellgrove and his wife Kristen of Lubbock. Drew works in Lubbock and Kristen is attending Texas Tech School of Physical Therapy. The youngest, Blake Snellgrove, is a Civil Engineering Major at Texas Tech University.

Brian and Julie have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build a strong business along with their farming operation. Brian runs the day to day business operations, while Julie helps with the team unity and family gatherings.

The key to their success is based on a mutual trust concerning major business decisions.

The Snellgrove’s philosophy is centered around people.
