One dies in accident on Interstate 20

WEST TEXAS - New year, same story as Interstate 20 claims another life.

On Jan. 22, around 12 miles east of Stanton, a 2000 Dodge Caravan ran into the back of a Peterbilt truck towing a semi-trailer.

Troy Hogue, 37 of Clifton, failed to control his speed and struck the year of the truck driven by Olukayode Amole, 64 of Granbury. Amole did not sustain any injuries.

Hogue was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace Angela Griffin.

The accident was investigated by Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Bradly Slade and assisted by Trooper Sterling Shelton.
