GRADY - The Grady 7th grade Lady Cats competed in the Grady Junior High Tournament this past weekend.

The 7th grade Lady Cats struggled in the first round losing to Garden City 46-2, but bounced back defeating Forsan 22-13 in the second round.

Another strong performance in the third round earned Grady a 26-11 victory over Grandfalls and the Consolation championship.

“I thought the girls did a great job. We have gotten better throughout the year. We just need to play more games and gain some confidence,” said Grady coach Jym Dennis. “I feel like we are playing and working harder on both offensive and defensive ends of the floor. We gained a lot of experience in this tournament and it will help us going forward.”
