STANTON – The junior high Buffaloes went toe to toe with the Coahoma Bulldogs on Monday.
The seventh grade girls B team lost a close game in overtime 10-8.
Nataly Duarte led Stanton with four points while Hannah Montanez an Zoe Martel added two points each.
The girls A team struggled to figure Coahoma out and lost 41-4.
Allyson Barrera scored all four points for the Buffaloes.
The eighth grade girls B team improved its season record with a 17-10 victory.
Neveah Moreno and Ryann Bryand had a team high four points each and Abby Campos added three.
Andrea Ellington, Chelsey Andrade, and Jocelyn Lacan had two points apiece.
The girls A team put up a good fight but Coahoma proved to tuff winning 29-12.
Aubrey Villa tossed in a team high seven points while Brittyn Carson had two, Emma Denson scored two, and Aubry Silva chipped in with one point.
The seventh grade boys wrapped up the action with a 66-15 loss to Coahoma.
Gage McCown had a team high six points for Stanton and Nathan Armendarez added five. Kolton Bruner and Anger Rodriguez tallied two points each.
