Grady ISD outstanding tennis players Chapman Sims and Samantha Griffin were in San Antonio this week battling for a State Tennis Title at the Blossom Tennis Center.
Sims opened his State Tournament run against Josue Buitron of Gustine and won easily 6-1, 6-3.
In the semifinals, Sims had a little tougher time with Colt Lawrence of Rising Star but still won in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
