– The No. 1-ranked Gordon Longhorns beat the visiting Garden City Bearkats, 58-12 in Saturday's non-league bout at Abilene Christian High School.
In their next game, the Longhorns face the Strawn Greyhounds on Sept 9. Gordon will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Greyhounds enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 85-40 win over Dallas Lutheran.
