    - Merkel Badgers fans left the game giddy Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the Stanton Buffaloes, 34-7 in a non-district test.

    With the triumph, Merkel improved its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The loss drops Stanton to 1-1 on the season.

    The Buffaloes didn’t hang their heads long, they were up early Saturday preparing for the next game.
