Stanton cop arrested, fired after allegedly helping felon avoid arrest

STANTON - A 32-year-old woman has been fired from her job as a Stanton police officer after being arrested on a felony charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution of a known felon.

Alynha Nieto was taken into custody at her home by Stanton police on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 4, and booked into the Martin County Jail.
