STANTON - Angelita Rodriguez Cantu was born to Manuel and Francisca Rodriguez on Apr. 16, 1943 in Ben Bolt. She died surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2021. Visitation was July 6 and July 7 and a rosary was July 7 at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.

STANTON - On July 2, 2021, Guadalupe (Lupe) Madrid died suddenly at the age of 67. She was born on Jan. 12, 1954, in Stanton, to the late Francisco and Flora (Lujan) Madrid. She was raised on a farm right outside of town, between Stanton and Midland.

STANTON - Jimmy Wayne McAnally was born May 6, 1947, in Jacksonville, and died June 30, 2021, at his home in Stanton.

Maximo “Max” Cuellar

MIDLAND - On July 1, 2021, Maximo "Max" Cuellar, Jr. died peacefully at his home at the age of 60. He was born on July 14, 1960, in Stanton, to the late Maximo Cuellar, Sr. and Silveria (Espinosa) Cuellar. He was raised in Midland and attended Midland High School until his freshman year.

Lewis Tom Mather

TARZAN - Lewis Tom Mather 65, known by most friends and family as Tommy, died on July 3, 2021, in his home in Tarzan next to his wife Carroll Mather after a very long and courageous fight against cancer. The family will receive friends on July 9, from 5 - 7 p.m.

STANTON - Erik B. Torres, 33 of Stanton, died on June 8, 2021, in Midland. Erik B. Torres was born in Stanton, to Guillermo and Petra Torres on Oct. 10, 1987. He attended school in Midland. He owned and operated Shine Brighter Mobile Detailing alongside his business partner Erick Hernandez.

Helen Gertrude Leftwich

STANTON - Helen Gertrude Leftwich, 90 of Stanton, died on June 13, 2021 at 12:12am. Visitation will be all day June 18, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. Services will be at graveside in the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery also in Stanton, on June 19, at 10 am.

Joe Ortiz

Ortiz, 77, died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 14, 2021. He was born May 7, 1944 in Mercedes. He lived in Stanton most of his life where he and his wife raised six children who will miss him tremendously. He loved working and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
