SAN ANTONIO – Grady tennis stars Samantha Griffin and Chapman Sims were back at the Class 1A State Tennis Tournament last week at Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio.Griffin started her state run with a first-round match against Addison Weeks of Dodd City. Griffin cruised past Weeks 6-1, 6-4.
The Garden City number sense team defended its state title with another gold medal performance at the 2024 UIL Academic State Meet last week in Austin. MARTIN COUNTY - A Plainview man died in a crash in Martin County earlier this week.Emergency crews responded to an accident at 5:45 a.m. on Monday morning between a pick-up truck and a semi-truck.A preliminary DPS report showed the semi-truck was traveling east on CR 3400 toward FM 829.
