LUBBOCK - Faith Hunt, daughter of Lance and Regenia Hunt of Tarzan, married Joshua Quaid, son of Robert and Ann Quaid of Stanton on Dec. 31, 2019 in a ceremony at Bella Vie Venue and Event Center in Lubbock. Following their magical night the couple enjoyed a Caribbean cruise for their honeymoon.
The bride is the granddaughter of Vanny and Mary Ann Glaze of Tarzan and her honorary parents are Rudy and Emelda Hewtty of Lenorah. She is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University and is currently employed as a Loan Officer assistant at First National Bank of Stanton.
The groom is the grandson of Glenn and Glynda (Quaid) Madison of Stanton. He works in farming and is currently attending Aviation Mechanical School at Midland College.
Matrons of Honor were Laura Maldonado and Chelsey Brantley, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were: Stacy Hunt, sister-in-law of the bride; Kristen Patty, Brooke Dalton, and Emily Glaze, cousin of the bride. The bridal party wore a black Vera Wang V-neck halter gown with a sash and carried a bouquet of eucalyptus,greenery and a white rose.
Best man was Weston Phelps. Groomsmen were: Aaron Montez, Kaden Kennedy, Nathan Garlington, and Ethan Quaid, brother of the groom. The groomsmen wore a black tux and tie with a white shirt accented with a eucalyptus boutonniere.
Flower girls were Alice Brantley, Scarlett Hunt, and Emmalynn Brantley all nieces of the bride. They wore dresses that were made with a gold sequined top and white tulle bottom. They carried white baskets filled with white and blush flower petals.
Ring bearers were Jackson and Warren Holler, cousins of the groom. They wore black pants, white shirt, suspenders, and a black bow tie. Jackson carried a wooden sign that read, “ Here Comes the Bride” and Warren carried two Bibles tied together with white ribbon. The Bibles belonged to the brides paternal grandmothers.
Aubree Hunt, niece of the bride, passed out wedding programs to guests as they entered the venue. She wore a black jumpsuit with ruffled, criss-crossed shoulder straps.
The wedding venue was filled with silver chiavari chairs with a middle aisle that was flanked with white lanterns that contained white flickering candles. Champagne colored rose petals were arranged around the lanterns. White drapery was hung over each side of the venue to compliment the stage area. Above the stage was a large crown-molding frame with white drapes flowing around the couple. Two large urns were on both sides of the stage and held eucalyptus, greenery and white roses.
The family entered the venue to “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait. The wedding party entered to the song, “From This Moment” by Caleb & Kelsey.
The bride, escorted by her father, entered the venue to “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” by Haley Reinhart. The bride wore a champagne mermaid silhouette gown with a strapless,Sweetheart neckline designed by Allure Bridals. The top of the gown had intricately detailed lace and embroidery that fell into a full, tulle skirt with a chapel length train. The bride carried a cascading bouquet containing eucalyptus, greenery and white roses.
Andrew Hunt, brother of the bride, read “A Wedding Poem” and Ryan Brantley read scripture from the Bible at the beginning of the ceremony. Jeremy Sigle officiated the vows. “Known” by Tauren Wells played while the couple braided three cords symbolizing the joining of one man and one woman by God into a marriage relationship. After the exchange of rings the couple and wedding party left to the song, “Signed, Sealed, and Delivered,” by Stevie Wonder.
A reception and dance was held following the ceremony. A catered meal was provided for the guests. The bride’s table was covered with a white, rose tablecloth that held a four tiered cake that was intricately decorated with white icing setting on a rhinestone cake stand. A gold “Mr and Mrs. Quaid” sat on top of the cake.
The table also held the bride’s bouquet and a Precious Moments figurine that was used at the bride’s parent’s wedding. The groom’s cake was a sheet cake decorated with chocolate icing and a large Q in the center. Emelda Hewtty created the cakes especially for the bride and groom. The couple and their guest toasted the New Year then left to guest lined up holding sparklers.
A rehearsal dinner was on Friday night and hosted by Robert and Ann Quaid.
