STANTON - Ruth Ramirez, 83, died Nov. 30, 2020 after a life of love and devotion to her family and a firm belief in God.
She was born in Stanton, to Lorene Kennedy Williams and Jesus Montez on July 4, 1937 and was raised by her grandparents Jesus and Bernave Montez in Stanton.
She met and married her life partner the late Ramon S. Ramirez and moved to Midland to raise their family. She worked for over 36
She worked for over 36 years at Midland Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist serving others and providing for her family. She was a spiritual woman and involved with many church activities. She was a devoted Catholic and a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She was a Cursillista and a Guadalupana, a member of the Alter Society and the Funeral Ministry.
She was blessed with a large and loving family. She had eight children, 18 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by four children: Lucy Longoria with husband Willie of San Angelo, Gabriel Ramirez of Midland, Raymond (Ramon) Ramirez Jr. of Midland, and Terry Adkins with husband Jeff of Midland. By her siblings: Raymond Kennedy with wife Kathy in Oklahoma, Aida Montez of California, Christina Reyna with husband David of Odessa, Isabel Mejia of Stanton, Ruben Montez of Stanton, Francis Perez of Stanton, Angela De LaRosa of Stanton and Luis Montez with wife Celia of Stanton.
She was predeceased by her parents: Lorene Kennedy Williams, Jesus and Benena Montez; by grandparents: Jesus and Bernave Montez; by her siblings: Celia M. Armendarez and Ramon Montez; by her husband Ramon S. Ramirez; and by her daughters: Sylvia, Yolanda, Belinda and most recently daughter Delma Lopez.
Funeral services were private for immediate family onlyon Dec. 7. Rosary services were Dec. 6.
