SAN ANGELO - Angelo State University's chapter of the Alpha Chi national honor society recently inducted 24 new members, including Gabrielle Vanderveen of Stanton, for the spring 2021 semester during a virtual ceremony.
Alpha Chi is one of the nation's most prestigious honor societies and is open to students majoring in any academic discipline. To be eligible, students must rank in the top 10 percent of seniors at their college or university, or in the top 7.5 percent of juniors.
Angelo State University, founded in 1928, is a thriving four-year public school in Texas. It is part of the dynamic Texas Tech University System with campuses across the state. Angelo State has been ranked as one of The Princeton Review's "Best Colleges" in the nation since 2010, and also as a College of Distinction.
ASU is also recognized with a Gold Award for ranking in the top 15 of the 69 institutions in the Large Public University category that were awarded the "Military Friendly School" designation for 2021-22.
