Stanton, Grady receive no love from Dave Campbell’s

WEST TEXAS - The Southwest’s leading football source since 1960, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine continues to feature analysis of every football program in the state of Texas from the high school level through the collegiate level and onto the professional ranks.

With is release, it time to announce the predictions for Stanton and Grady as well as other area schools.

Stanton will be going to battle in District 4-AAA DII. Perennial favorite Abernathy and Idalou are again picked to take the top two spots respectively followed by Lubbock Roosevelt and Coahoma in the final two playoffs spots.

Reagan County is picked fifth and Stanton is expected to finish last this season.

As for Grady, the Wildcats will compete in District 6-A DI.

Rankin is picked to be district champions with Garden City slotted to be runner-up.

Grady is picked to finish just outside of the playoff picture in third place and Midland TLCA is picked fourth.

Other Schools:

Klondike and Sands are picked to finish one, two in District 4-A DII

Klondike is No. 8 is the preseason polls.

Midland Greenwood is piked second in District 1-AAAA DII

Big Spring is slotted third in District 2-AAAA DI

For District 2-AAAAAA, Midland Legacy is the top team in the district and Odessa Permian is close behind in second.

Midland High and Odessa High are expected to miss the playoffs in sixth and seventh place.

Preseason polls have both Legacy and Permian in the Top 30 with Legacy No. 25 and Permian No. 27.
