RUSK - Graveside services for Flossie Hamilton, 93 of Rusk, were Aug. 13, in the Salem Cemetery in Rusk with Pastor Pat Gregg officiating.
Mrs. Hamilton was born May 6, 1928, in Rusk, the daughter of the late Clara Bell (Wilkes) and Joshua Hall Delaney. She died Aug. 9, 2021, in a Rusk nursing facility.
Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and greatgreat grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include her sons Royce Hamilton of Rusk, George Hamilton and wife Linda of Lufkin, and Robert Hamilton of Rusk; daughter Janice Airhart and husband Ronnie of Rusk; sister Mary Hamilton and husband Howard of Woodville; grandchildren Brent, Christy, Holly, Christopher, Tisha, Tabitha, Craig and Andrea; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and her loving dog, George.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband George C. Hamilton; brother Frank Delaney; and daughter-in-law Latricia Hamilton.
