Jerry Lee Fox Jr.

ODESSA - Jerry Lee Fox Jr. died Aug. 4, 2021 in Odessa. He was born on Jan. 20, 1947, in Snyder, to Jerry Sr. and Dorothy Fox. He married the love of his life Betty Faye Fox on Sept. 19, 1994 in Odessa.

He served in the Navy for eight years working on transmissions for the ship as a radioman during Vietnam on the USS Frontier. Some of his accomplishments were his medals for the National Defense Service and Vietnam campaign and he was even eligible for the first award of Good Conduct medal.

He was an avid gun collector and loved working on his cars. For most of his life he worked as a truck driver with his furry companion by his side, Havoc. He even worked for CE Phillips for 14 years as an operator . He was a hardworking man and truly loved what he did. When he was not working he was watching Westerns or was tinkering around the house and always had something to do. But most importantly, he was a family man and loved his children and wife and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty of Odessa; sons Ronnie Fox of Roanoke, VA, James Fox (Elaine) of Big Spring, and Gary Fox (Jennifer) of Odessa; daughters Debra Fox (Josh Stegmeier) of Arlington, Melissa Varner (Shane) of Fort Worth, Linda Sousley of Odessa, Lesley Clarke (Andy) of Garden City, and Brittany McDaniels of Odessa; brother Douglas Fox (Rebecca) of Illinois; sisters Joy Babcock (George) of Illinois and Donna Spratt of Odessa; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Dorothy Fox; son Michael Martindale, and brother Bruce Fox.

A Visitation was Aug. 16, at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa. A Graveside was Aug. 17 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.

Arrangements were entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa.
