LUBBOCK - Catalina Espinoza Montez, 80, died Oct. 4, 2021, in Lubbock. She was born on July 27, 1941 in Colorado City, to Alberto Espinoza and Angelita Arizpe. She loved to garden. Her favorite flower was roses.
A viewing and Rosary were Oct. 6, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Oct. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray M. Nanez, Xavier Ramirez, Miranda Nanez, Lee Mungia, Albert Montez, Anthony Montez, Mark Montez and Yvette Montez.
She is survived by her daughter Angelita Garza; sisters Silveria Cuellar and Mary Sanchez; brothers Juan Espinoza and Pancho Espinoza; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
