Martin County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the Ackerly Fire Department’s new Firehouse. The Ackerly Fire Department is the primary response for the top third of Martin County. The bottom third of Dawson County. Borden County as far east as Vealmoor and secondary responders as far as Gail and as far south as 846 in Howard County. However, they will not respond until Borden and Howard formally ask for mutual aid.
