STANTON - Mikel Bridge, 72, loving husband to his sweet heart Judy Bridge who he met and was married to in May of 1993, died Nov. 3, 2021. He was born in Brownfield, on Oct. 21, 1949, to Ervin and Virginia Bridge. He attended and graduated from Stanton schools in 1970.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great friend. He was rarely to meet a stranger and was sure to always put a smile on your face. He was known for his love of fishing, camping and hunting he loved the outdoors and was fond of the many fishing trips he accompanied on over the years. He lived a full life and always had a great attitude and more than willing to lend a hand to anybody who needed it.
HE is survived by wife Judy Bridge of Stanton; sister Sandra Whitehead and husband Gary of Nemo; children Tonya Hilario and husband Tommy of Big Spring and Phillip Bridge of Abilene; stepsons Garry Don Thompson of Voss and JJ Thompson and wife Jamie of Stanton; grandchildren Taylor, Josh Bridge, Lane Williams, Helena Bridge, Dylon and Devon Thompson and Ashlynn Spencer.
He was preceded in death by parents Ervin and Virginia Bridge.
Graveside service was Nov. 8, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. Pallbearers were be Lane Williams, Phillip Bridge, Taylor Bridge, Randy Doshier, JJ Thompson, Isaac Letkeman, Billy Welch, and Tommy Miller
