Jack Hildreth

FRANKLIN, TN. - Mr. Jack P. Hildreth, 81 of Franklin, TN, died Mar. 22, 2022, at Maury Regional Transitional Care in Columbia, TN, following an extended illness.

A family graveside service was Mar. 26, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, with Daxtyn Cook officiating and burial immediately following. Military honors provided by the United States Army.

He was born on July 18, 1940, in Lenorah, to Walter and Mae Hildreth. He had eight brothers and sisters. After a three year tour in the United States Army, where he achieved excellence in marksmanship, he returned to Texas and soon married Louann Ella Musick on May 5, 1964, and were together until her passing, Mar. 20, 2004. They were residents of Odessa for many years where he worked as an accountant and she owned her own learning center. After they both retired, they followed their kids to the Nashville area where they eventually settled in Franklin. Later, Jack became a sales representative for Gary Force Acura, which he worked for several years before retiring again. He enjoyed his senior years spending time with his children and grandchildren and mastering the game of solitaire.

He is survived by his sisters, all of Texas, Marybelle Odell, Eula Kartes and Elizabeth “Libby” Gilmore. He is also survived by his oldest daughter, Deborah (Dave) Cook and grandson Daxtyn Cook of Columbia, TN, his youngest daughter, Adryan Hildreth and grandchildren, Anijah, Aaliyah and Asani, of Franklin, TN, granddaughter Amber (Emilio) Ramirez of Copperas Cove, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Louann and his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Lillymay Dawkins, Myrtie Dawkins, Walter Hildreth Jr., Janie Dawkins and Jerry Hildreth. Jack was also preceded in death by his own children, Daniel Hildreth, Jonathan Pierce Hildreth and Candace Dawn Hildreth.
