HERMLEIGH - It was a tough day on Thursday for Stanton, who lost 21-5 to Ballinger
In the first inning, Stanton got its offense started. P. Carby drove in two with a single.
Ballinger pulled away for good with nine runs in the third inning.
Stanton notched three runs in the fifth inning, led by A. Campos and Z. Aguirre driving in runs.
The Lady Buffs had seven hits in the game. A. Campos and P. Carby all collected multiple hits each managed two hits to lead the team.
In game two, Ballinger and Stanton were tied at 1-1 heading into the third inning.
Ballinger’s bats finally came to life for seven runs taking the lead for good.
Stanton’s lone RBI went to R. Bryand.
Z. Aguirre was a perfect 4 of 4 from the plate to lead Stanton.
Also getting multiple hits were A. Campos, M. Williams, and R. Bryand with two each.
P. Carby added one hit.
