ST LAWRENCE - George Lester Jansa of St. Lawrence, died May 6, 2022. He was born Nov. 20, 1929, to George A. and Angeline Jansa of Miles. On April 20, 1953 he married the love of his life, Mary Lou Hoelscher.
Rosary was May 17, Mass of Catholic Burial was May 18, and interment followed at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Jansa, and five children, Earl (JoAnne Pryor) Jansa, Wayne (Jennifer) Jansa, Denise Jansa, Allen Jansa, and Anita (Buddy) Cross; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, James Jansa and wife, Reiko, Fred Jansa and wife, Judy, along with Betty Jansa, wife of brother Daniel.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Elaine, parents George A. and Angeline, and brother Daniel Jansa.
He served active duty in the US army from 1951 to 1953. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Brian Howland, Wade Jansa, Dylan Jansa, Calleen White, Allison Rodriguez, and Evan Jansa. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Rodriguez, Chuck White, Monica Jansa, Stephen Jansa (godson) and Stuart Jansa (godson).
