STANTON - Patricia Ann Thrailkill High, of Stanton, died June 6, 2022, at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family and as her pastor, David Harp, prayed the 23rd Psalms over her.
She is whole and new, now in Heaven, and no longer impaired by her earthly ailments, free to be her strong, vibrant, spirited, and loving self, once again, forever more.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1945, in Big Spring, the youngest of two daughters born to Robert Cudd “Bob” and Helen Francis Large Thrailkill, of Lenorah. She was a 1964 graduate of Stanton High School, in Stanton.
Retired in 2010, she had significant careers at Caprock Electrical Coop, in Stanton, as well at Cornell Prisons and Correctional Facilities in Big Spring.
She had one son, Stacy Stuart Stribling; and four stepchildren, Kim High Alcorn, Wendy High, Missy High Poulsen, and Jake High.
She loved to travel, and had an ardent passion for animals, gardening, and flowers, which was second only to her loving and passionate devotion to her family and endless number of close, personal friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her grandson, Noble Edward Stribling of Austin; step-granddaughter’s Alyssa Star, of Victoria and Dusti Dunham, of West Odessa; as well as her daughter-in-law, Shelly Stribling, of Austin; her nephews KC Caulder and his wife Dodie of Odessa; Robert Scott and his wife Marla of Shertz; Bill Scott of Cibolo; numerous great grandchildren, great and great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her lifelong best friend Cindy Dillard of Stanton.
She is preceded in death by her son, Stacy Stribling; her parents Bob and Helen Thrailkill, and sister Frances Scott.
Family Visitation will be June 10, from 6:-7:30 at Gilbreath Funeral Home (209 St. Charles St., Stanton, TX 79782) in Stanton. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. June 11, at the First Baptist Church of Stanton. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
