Alicia Marquez

STANTON - Alicia “Licha” Marquez died July 31, 2022, with family and friends by her side. She was born Sept. 23, 1945. She lived in Stanton with the love of her life Daniel “Nene” Marquez, where they raised their children. She retired from the Stanton Elementary School after 27 years.

She was sweet, loving, big hearted, and loved to be with her family. She also loved baking and cooking especially for family gatherings.

Visitation and rosary were Aug. 3, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will Aug. 4, at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Nene” Marquez; mother, Minerva Guevara; father, Santos Guevara; granddaughters, Veronica Marie Hernandez, Sara Danielle Reyes, Artesia Reyes; sisters, Gela Morales, Abby Villa; brother, Nino Guevera.

She is survived by her daughters Rosie (Rudy) Hilario, Sissy Hernandez, Delma (Joey) Reyes, Alicia (Ben) Flores; sons Benny Hernandez, Louis (Romie) Casas; brothers David Guevara, Joe Guevara; sister Alma Villa, Anita Trujillo; grandchildren Aaron Arguello, Fredrick A Maldonado, Joseph Reyes, Alison Garcia, Tristian Flores, Alea Flores, Sierra Flores, Hazel Flores, Abigail Ramirez, Alyssa Casas, Louis Casas Jr. and several great grandchildren.
