YeHaw MeMaw was a lot of fun for her grandchildren and she was known for entering a room with a big 'YeHaw', at times dressed as Cowboy Santa or as a Leprechaun to celebrate her Irish heritage. In 2002 she retired and moved to Midland, TX to care for her mother and brother. She worked parttime at various jobs and made wonderful friends there, joining a professional clown organization and learning the craft. Her friends at Oops Alley have brought her much joy and support during her later years.
At the age of 70 she married Dick Cunningham and lived in Midland, caring for her husband and brother Marion. She loved being a volunteer for Hospice of Midland.
In Alabama she met many new friends and continued to stay busy with her sewing, knitting, crafts, puzzles, pets, and backyard garden. She spread much joy along with her love for Jesus to all she met there.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends as we wait for the day when we join her in Heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be Sept. 17, at Homewood Suites, 1401 Tradewinds Blvd., Midland, from 2pm to 4pm.
