STANTON - Roger Harris Fleckenstein, 83 of Stanton, died Oct. 6, 2022. The family received friends Oct. 9, at Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton. Funeral services were Oct. 10, at the First United Methodist Church of Stanton. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born Mar. 18, 1939 in Ranger, to Mary Frances (Granger) and Edwin Regis Fleckenstein. He moved to Stanton in 1962 and retired from Caprock Electric after 30 years of service. He married Wilma Faye Ramsey Apr. 7, 1958, in Colorado City. He was a square dance teacher/caller for 20 years. He also worked with the 4-H Club. He enjoyed wood working, golfing, watching grandkids play sports, and he never missed an event.
He is survived by his wife Faye Fleckenstein; son Ricky Fleckenstein and wife Laurie; daughter Cheryl Cook and husband Kenneth; grandchildren Keith and Jana Cook, Karyn Pylant, Ramsey and Holly Fleckenstein, and Rachel and Coner McKown; great great-grandchildren Kanyon Pylant, Koda Pylant, Kody Cook, Kase Cook, Lillian Fleckenstein, Cleg Fleckenstein, and Lyndon Fleckenstein, and a nephew Terry Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Annetta Montgomery, and a great granddaughter Katy-Jo Cook.
