AMARILLO - Mr. Terrel Pinkston died peacefully surrounded by his family on Dec. 30, 2022, in Amarillo. He was born on Dec. 14, 1933, in Lenorah, to John and Gertie Angel Pinkston and a nine year old sister Marcelle who welcomed him into this world.
He attended school in Stanton and graduated in 1951. He also attended Tarleton University in Stephenville.
Mr. Pinkston served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1957 when he was honorably discharged.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Pinkston of the home, two sons Dan Pinkston of Rincon, GA, and Bill Pinkston of Rhome, GA; eleven nieces and nephews, two brothers-in-law, Clay Mims of Midland, and Jack and wife Glena of Midland, and several cousins and many friends.
Services for Mr. Pinkston were at Washington Avenue Christian Church on Jan. 4, with Jim Shelburne officiating.
