STANTON - Tommy S. Dennis, 79, died Jan. 9, 2023. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1943, in McKinney, to Beulah and Jesse Dennis. He has lived in Stanton for the last 24 years and was a Baptist.
He was part of Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce of Stanton were he severed as President. He was store manager in Stanton and never met a stranger. People in Stanton called him the Gabby Grocer; he loved being around people.
He is survived by his son Steven Dennis (Susan) of Scroggins; daughter Lisa Sartain (Mark) of Stanton; seven grandchildren, Mandy Revis, Emma Rackard, Colby Rackard, Gracie Sartain, Kylie Sartain, Eric Rose, and Austin Rose; great granddaughter Harper Rackard; and nieces Cindy, Kim, and Terrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Theresa Dennis, brother J.C. Dennis, niece Angela Duncan; and nephew Paul Wayne Duncan.
