Garden City Bearkats sit second after first round of District 11 play

GARDEN CITY - The No. 8 ranked (TABC) Garden City Bearkats took care of business last week crushing Veribest 67-23 to stay alone in second place of the District 11 standings after the first round of play. No. 4 Irion County lead the district.
The Bearkats were led by Senior forward John Lopez with 21 points and junior guard Julio Talamantes added 17 points.
