STANTON - Rosario (Rosa) Gonzalez George, 66 of Stanton, died Feb. 4, 2023, in Midland surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends from 4pm until 6pm Feb. 10, at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Rosary service will be at 7pm Feb. 10, at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10am Feb. 11, at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born in Mexico on Feb. 26, 1956. She attended Aladdin Beauty School and owned and operated Stanton Beauty Shop. She was an excellent cook, but baking was her passion. She also loved to sew and learned the art of crocheting from her mom and beloved Maternal Grandmother “Teta”.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bruno and Piedad Gonzalez; her spouse Melvin George; brothers Alfonso Reyes and Victor Gonzalez and stepsister Juana Gonzalez.
She is survived by her son Adrien (Christina) George of Pleasanton; daughter Xena Perales of San Antonio; sisters Herminia Gonzalez of Stanton, Eva (Allen) Williams of Helena, AL, Leticia Madrid (Gustavo Calderon) of Odessa, Macrina Gonzalez (Sergio J. Valdez) of McAllen; stepsisters Maria (Mario) Martinez of Grand Prairie, Ignacia Gonzalez of Tampico Mexico; stepbrothers Joe R. (Mary Jane) Gonzalez of Stanton, Jose Concepcion (Berta) Gonzalez of San Antonio; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
