KLONDIKE - Elnora Wade Phillips, 84, was born on Dec. 28, 1938 in Dawson County. She recently died on Nov. 28, 2023. A memorial service will be at Lamesa Church of Christ on Dec. 2, at 2:00 p.m. She attended Klondike and Lamesa schools.

Joe Marmolejo Cordova Sr.

MIDLAND - Joe Marmolejo Cordova Sr., 72 of Midland, died peacefully in his home, with his loving family by his side on Nov. 21, 2023. He was born in Stanton on Sept. 30, 1951, to the late Pedro Carter Cordova Sr. and Lydia Evangelee Cordova.

TARZAN - Enrique (Henry) Martens Wiebe, died on Nov. 25, 2023, in Tarzan. Funeral Services were Nov. 29, at the Sommerfeld Church, in Seminole, with Rev. Issac Fehr officiating. Arrangements and services were under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes of Seminole.

STAMFORD - Robert Ray Bird Sr., 85 of Stamford, died Nov. 18, 2023, in an Abilene Hospital. Funeral service was Nov. 21 at St. John's Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Wright and Jack and Ryli McKay officiating.

GEORGETOWN - Billy E. Barnhill, 94, of Martin County, peacefully died in his home on Nov. 8, 2023, in the Sun City community in Georgetown. He was born to William Samuel Barnhill and Lillie Boatman Barnhill on May 19, 1929, in Martin County.

LAMESA - Carson Donnell Echols, 86 of Lamesa, died Nov. 11,2023 surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Carson and Lois Echols on Apr. 4, 1937 in Lamesa. He grew up on the family farm where he was still residing. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1955.

GEORGETOWN - Billy Barnhill, 94 of Georgetown, died Nov. 8, 2023. The family received friends for visitation on Nov. 15 at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A graveside service followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.

MIDLAND - Jimmie Ruth Hayes Currie, 93 of Midland, died peacefully in her home Nov. 2, 2023, surrounded by her family. Private services will be held in Garden City. She was born July 24, 1930, to James and Ernestine Hayes in Levelland.
