Junior High Bearkats crush Westbrook 35-6

WESTBROOK – Garden City’s junior high football team dominated both sides of the football Thursday night picking up an impressive 35-6 victory over Westbrook. The Bearkats started the game on defense but Presely Jost changed that quickly with an interception on the third play of the game.

WESTBROOK – A combination of big plays by Westbrook over the first three quarter and broken coverages and missed tackles by Garden City allowed Westbrook to defend its home turf winning 41-40 last Thursday’s junior varsity game.

Wildcat cross county has strong showing in Forsan

FORSAN -The Grady Cross Country teams competed in the Buffalo Cross Country Stampede hosted by Forsan this past week. The Grady teams ran well and had a lot of success. The varsity girls captured the champion trophy while junior high girls finished second.

GRADY – It was a rough night for the Grady Wildcats as the Robert Lee Dogies returned home with a 48-12 victory. Braxton Dillard led Grady’s rushing attack with 45 yards and two touchdowns. Truman Stack ended the game with 48 yards while Adrian Mata gained 24 yards and Logan Rodriguez had four.

Robert Lee hangs on to beat Grady

ROBERT LEE – It was another “close but no cigar” game for the Grady Wildcats as Robert Lee managed to hold on late for a 65-52 win at Griffith Stadium in Robert Lee.

SAN ANGELO – It was truly the ‘Tale of Two Halves’ as Stanton rebounded from a poor first half to destroy San Angelo 46-13 in non-district action Friday night in San Angelo.

LENORAH – Grady was one score short in a 52-46 non-district loss to Meadow, Friday at M. W. Tunnell Field in Grady. It appears the Wildcats are starting to figure some things out on offense as they had a pair of 100-yard rushers.

LUBBOCK - The Grady High School Cross Country teams traveled to Lubbock this past Saturday to compete in the Lubbock ISD Invitational. The girls team had a strong showing finishing 4th overall as a team and had three runners medal by placing in the top 25.

MEADOW – Grady junior high football team put together a stellar performance on Thursday night and crushed the Meadow Broncos 41-24. Truman Stack led the offense with 12 carries for 98 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
