Grady comes up short against Meadow

LENORAH – Grady was one score short in a 52-46 non-district loss to Meadow, Friday at M. W. Tunnell Field in Grady. It appears the Wildcats are starting to figure some things out on offense as they had a pair of 100-yard rushers.

Grady has strong showing in Lubbock

LUBBOCK - The Grady High School Cross Country teams traveled to Lubbock this past Saturday to compete in the Lubbock ISD Invitational. The girls team had a strong showing finishing 4th overall as a team and had three runners medal by placing in the top 25.

MEADOW – Grady junior high football team put together a stellar performance on Thursday night and crushed the Meadow Broncos 41-24. Truman Stack led the offense with 12 carries for 98 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

The Bearkat Golf Teams competed in the First Fall Bearkat Shootout at Ratliff Ranch Golf Course. The tournament was small, but gave the kids another opportunity to get better. The boys finished 2nd with Ryder Gass leading the team with a 5th place finish.

Junior High Bearkats crush Van Horn

GARDEN CITY - The junior high Bearkats took care of business last Thursday and beat Van Horn 34-12. Brody Walts scored on touchdown runs of 44 yards and seven yards and also had a touchdown reception of 31 yards thrown by Presley Jost.

RANKIN - Garden City’s junior varsity team struggled last week keeping it’s players on the field. One starter was out for illness, and two more were lost to injuries throughout the game.

Graden City is back on winning track with huge victory over Eden

EDEN – After struggling to move the ball the week before, Garden City was almost unstoppable scoring 50 straight points against Eden to win its second game of the season. The Bearkats got off to a slow start scoring just once in the first quarter.

GARDEN CITY – Garden City’s junior varsity put together a perfect performance last Thursday destroying Eden 46-0 to remain undefeated on the season and raise its record to 4-0. Blain Walts was the first to score for Garden City on a 23-yard touchdown run.

Young Bearkats claw way to 34-12 victory

GARDEN CITY – The junior high Bearkats improved to 2-1 with an impressive 34-12 victory over Eden. Brody Walts was part of all five of Garden City’s touchdowns. He rushed for three touchdowns on carries of 34, 19, and two yards.

Sundown offense too much for Stanton

STANTON - The Sundown Roughnecks rolled into town and defeated the host Stanton Buffaloes 31-7 in Friday’s non-league bout at Buffalo Stadium. Sundown’s offense was able to pick up 18 first downs allowing for sustained drives and a tired Buffalo defense.
