KLONDIKE - Last Friday just wasn’t Grady’s night as Klondike rolled to a 46-0 district victory. The Cougars took a slim 8-0 lead in the first quarter and stretched the gap to 26-0 by halftime.

MARTIN COUNTY - The Stanton Buffaloes and Grady Wildcats varsity girl’s basketball teams will be starting their season’s on Nov. 5 when they scrimmage each other at Stanton High School.

COAHOMA – The Stanton Buffaloes grid iron struggles continued on Friday night as Coahoma cruised to a 61-8 District 2AAA victory at Bulldog Stadium in Coahoma. Stanton’s offense stuck to the ground with 53 rushing attempts.

GARDEN CITY - The Grady junior high boys participated in the Garden City basketball tournament this past weekend. The Wildcats played three games winning two and losing one to finish in second place. Grady played Sterling City in the first game of the tournament.

GRADY – Grady’s varsity girls’ basketball team split its District 8A games with Borden County and Garden City this past week to move its record to 1-2. The Lady Wildcats picked up their first district victory Friday night with a 37-33 victory over Borden County.

STANTON – Lubbock Roosevelt stole a victory from Stanton last week after the Buffaloes took a slim 13-7 lead and had all the momentum. Unfortunately, the Buffs could not capitalize on several Eagle mistakes and allowed Roosevelt a 29-13 district win.

LAMESA - The Grady Wildcat’s cross country teams traveled to Lamesa last Tuesday to compete in the District 8A Championship. The varsity Wildcats won the district team title with dominating performance finishing 21 points ahead of second place Sands.
