One-Act-Plat advances to regional contest

- Grady’s One-Act-Play, A Storm in the Barn, had another spectacular performance at the Area contest in Sundown on Apr. 8 and was chosen as an Advancing Play to Regionals.

Wildcat netter compete in Sterling City

Grady High School tennis players played in their second tournament of the season on Mar. 27 at Sterling City.“I was very proud of all twelve kids that participated in the Sterling City Tennis Tournament,” said Grady coach Christ Short.

Lady Cats claim second straight district title

– Grady’s varsity girls track team edged out Borden County to win District 6-1A Track and Field Championships last week at Dawson High School.Varsity athletes placing in the top four advance to the Area meet in Dawson on Apr. 11.

Varsity track teams are District 11 Runners-Up

– Track teams from District11 converged on Robert Lee High School last week for the district track meet. Both Garden City teams finished second in the overall standings.Gold medal winners were Ella Braden, Miles Colunga, Levi Easterling, and Texas Brinkley.

Garden City golf teams qualify for Regionals

– The Garden City golf teams were in Abilene for District.The Lady Kats were the best team on the course taking the title with a total of 382372-754 Veribest being the second place team with 804 strokes and Bronte coming in third with a total of 1166.

FFA teams travel all across the state for CDE contests

Glasscock County FFA Members have been busy competing at CDE Invitationals. 30 students competed across 8 different CDE Contests.

Stanton’s Madison and Benedict lead list of Area track qualifiers

– The Stanton High School track teams were in Denver City last week for the District 3-3A Track Meet.Varsity athletes placing in the top four advance to the Area meet in Denver City on Apr. 10. The Area meet will be a combination of top four finishers from District 3 and District 4.

Buffaloes warp up golf season at district meet
