Stanton middle school releases honor rolls

- Stanton ISD is proud to announce the names of its middle school students with grades good enough to make the A Honor Roll and A/B Honor Roll for the Fifth Six-Weeks.

Lady Buffs softball goes back-to-back

– The Lady Buffs softball team is on a roll picking up massive backto- back wins over Compass Academy and Crane.Stanton was in action against Compass Academy on Saturday and ended the day with a 29-6 victory.

Garden City advances 23 to Region II track meet

– Track and Field athletes from District11 and District 12 were at Veribest High School on Apr.9 to compete in the Class A Area Track Meet. Garden City had a wonderful day with both the girl’s and boy’s teams placing second overall and qualifying 23 athletes for regionals.

Lady Cats runner-up at Class A Area meet

– Track and Field athletes from District 5 and District 6 were at Dawson High School on Apr. 11 to compete in the Class A Area Track Meet. Grady athletes put up some good times and the Lady Cats finished Runner-Up in the team standings and Grady qualified several athletes for regionals.

JH Lady Cats nearly win every gold medal, Wildcats finsih second at district track meet

– Grady’s junior high girls dominated the District 6-1A Track Meet winning the team title by nearly 100 points. The boys’ team had a great day as well finished second in the standings.Team Standings1. Grady, 236.5 points2. Sands, 141.53. Klondike, 854. Dawson, 525. Borden County, 496.

One-Act-Plat advances to regional contest

- Grady’s One-Act-Play, A Storm in the Barn, had another spectacular performance at the Area contest in Sundown on Apr. 8 and was chosen as an Advancing Play to Regionals.

Wildcat netter compete in Sterling City

Grady High School tennis players played in their second tournament of the season on Mar. 27 at Sterling City.“I was very proud of all twelve kids that participated in the Sterling City Tennis Tournament,” said Grady coach Christ Short.

Lady Cats claim second straight district title

– Grady’s varsity girls track team edged out Borden County to win District 6-1A Track and Field Championships last week at Dawson High School.Varsity athletes placing in the top four advance to the Area meet in Dawson on Apr. 11.

Varsity track teams are District 11 Runners-Up

– Track teams from District11 converged on Robert Lee High School last week for the district track meet. Both Garden City teams finished second in the overall standings.Gold medal winners were Ella Braden, Miles Colunga, Levi Easterling, and Texas Brinkley.
