Garden City captures two more playoff victories

– The Garden City Bearkats Class A state playoffs run continued last week with two more victories. The first was the Area Championship over Rankin at Greenwood High School on Friday and the second win was the Region II Semi-Final over Hamlin at Ira High School on Tuesday.

Emma Parker signed to play basketball with Southwestern College in Kansas. She has been a varsity player for the Grady Lady Cats for four years and helped lead her teams to the playoffs all four years. She was Grady’s leader in points scored and 3-pointers made this season.
