IREDELL - On Sept. 23, 2026, Elodia “Loli” Cazares of Stanton, was called to her Heavenly Home at the age of 80. She was born to the late Agapita and Eduvigen Tellez in Crystal City, in December of 1945.
Left to cherish her legacy are her husband Juan Cazares Sr.; daughters Carmel Escamilla, Ida Bruner and husband Matthew; son Joe Cazares and wife Laura; sister Elvira Rodriguez; brother, Eduvigen Tellez Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her son Juan Cazares Jr. and daughter Mary Cazares.
The family received friends for visitation Sept. 28, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. That evening a rosary was recited. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Sept. 29, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Stanton. Interment immediately followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keegan Dahl, Sebastian Escamilla, Dante Dahl, Brady Mitchell, Jacob Cazares, Dominick Dahl, Christian Cazares and Brandon Cazares. Honorary Pallbearers were Matthew Bruner, Kolton Bruner, Danny Tellez, Arturo Cazares, Israel Cazares and Angel Martinez.
