STANTON - Cipriana Lucio died Jan. 9, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Sinton.

She resided in Spur, from 1964 to 1977. In 1978 she moved to Stanton and lived there for 43 years.

She was a member of Guadalupanas and an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loved being around her grandchildren and family. She also loved doing needle work, embroidering, cooking, and listening to music, she will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Visitation and Rosary was at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home on Jan. 10, Funeral Mass was Jan. 11, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Luz Lucio Sr.; son, Ramiro Lucio; and grandson, Thomas Samuel Alexander.

Survivors include her daughters, LuzMarie Alexander, Melinda Segura, Cipriana Williamson, Lisa Villa, Petra Lucio; sons, Luz Lucio Jr., Leroy Lucio; sisters, Manuela Rincon, Maria Hernandez, Elijia Gonzalez; brothers, Lupe Fuentes, Joe Fuentes, 22 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Perez, Jerry Rincon, Daniel Parra Jr., Edward Segura, Daniel Garcia, Emilio Villa III.

Arrangements were under the direction of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
