MIDLAND - Jesse Jerome Tryon, Jr., 18, of Midland, died Jan. 25, 2020 in Odessa. A Wake service will be on Jan. 31, at 7 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Funeral service will be Feb. 1, at 11 am at True-Lite Christian Fellowship with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

He was full of life. He had a smile that would light up even the brightest room. He loved his music and was a rapper to the core. He swore he was going to be the next NBA Youngboy.

He loved his family and would do anything for them. One of his favorite things to do was beat up his siblings and little cousins. His sense of humor was one of a kind and he left us with that sense of humor in his son, Jordan. He always dressed to impress and if you were ever wondering where he was, just find the nearest mirror or look for him as his granny would say “back there in a weed coma.”

It’s no secret that he had some rough times in life, and it’s easy to dwell on that. But let’s remember the good that was inside of him. He knew God and he loved to pray. We are grateful and thankful that in his last moments he remembered to do just that…he prayed.

He is survived by his parents, Jesse Tryon and Ebony Hall; son, Jordan Samuels of Midland; brothers, Javion Thompson and Deondre Tryon both of Midland; sisters, Keosha Brannon-Jones (Brittany), Jamya Thompson, Timya Jennings, Timyra Jennings all of Midland; sister, Kiandriyah Hubbard of Odessa; grandmothers, Cheryl Mitchell-Green and Joann Tryon-Rice both of Midland; grandfather, George Hall of Colorado City; uncle Albert Hall of Stanton, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by one sister, Marijha Tryon; cousin, Jordyn Hall; grandfather, Kevin Green; great-grandfather, Willie C. Tryon and great-grandmother, Lorene Hodges.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
