HOUSTON - Linda Bess Bryan Angel, 81 of Houston, died Oct. 6, 2020 at her home after a brief illness.

After graduating from Stanton High School in 1956, she married Thomas Edward Angel and attended the Rutherford School of Business in Midland.

She was employed by Martin County Chamber of Commerce, as clerk and First National Bank, as Teller. Later, was employed by Stanton I.S.D. as Librarian for twenty years.

She was active in the First United Methodist church’s children’s Sunday School classes.

She was a member of Rho Xi Sorority.

He retired from Cap Rock Electric Co-Op in 1990 and they relocated to Dallas where she was a homemaker. She also became and was currently a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas.

In 1994, she moved her parents, O. B. and Johnie Bess Bryan to her home where she cared for them till their passing in 1996.

Finally, she moved to Houston in 2016.

Survivors are husband Tom Angel of Houston; son Bryan Angel of Houston; daughters Lesa Bess Angel and Sheri Pettit, both of Houston; sister Kay Harvey of Pampa, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, O. B. and Johnie Bess Bryan and brother, Bobby Bryan.

Linda Bess generously willed her body to the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. Her memorial is postponed.

The Family has asked that in lieu of flowers any memorials be sent to the Connell House c/o Martin County Museum, P. O. Box 929, Stanton, Texas 79782
