WAGONER, OK - Frances Marie Hodges of Wagoner, Oklahoma was a wonderful mom, grandma, sister and friend to many. She was a woman who was named after her mom that followed her dreams and cherished each day that she had.

ODESSA - Arturo Garcia, 78, died Mar. 2, 2020, with his family by his side at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born June 14, 1941, in Marathon, to Benito and Dolores (Lola) Garcia. He was a rancher on the Hess Ranch in Brewster County for many years.

MIDLAND - Kenny Wayne Varnadore, 34 of Midland, died Feb. 29, 2020, in Stanton. He was born on May 17, 1985, to Terry and Tracie O'Steen in Odessa. Growing up, he loved his little brother, Kasey.

STANTON - Juan Garcia, 86 of Stanton, died Feb. 28, 2020. Funeral mass will be 10 am Feb. 28, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stanton with interment following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Rosary service will be at 7 pm, Feb. 27, at Gilbreath Funeral Home. He was born June 22, 1933, in Mexico.

Willie Eugene Byrd

STANTON - Willie Eugene Byrd, known to many as “Byrdman”, died Feb. 24, 2020. He was 87 years old. He was born June 29, 1932, in McComb, Mississippi to Rowan and Clara Byrd. He grew up helping his dad tend the farm and learned the value of a hard day’s work early in life.

Ruth Porter

MIDLAND - Ruth Porter, 99 of Midland, died Feb. 20, 2020. Born on May 29, 1920 she was the daughter of the late William E. and Dorcas Stewart Smith. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was the oldest of seven children.
