STANTON - Darlene (Bristow) Caffey, 82 of Stanton, died early Sunday morning, Feb. 2, 2020, at her home. She was born on Apr. 12, 1937, at her parents home in Fisher County, to J.V. and Thelma Bristow. She was a graduate of Ackerly High School. She married Woodie Caffey of Knott on Feb.

Denver Blanscett, Sr.

SMYER - Denver “DG” Blanscett, Sr., 87, of Smyer, died Jan. 12, 2020. He was born in Stanton on Aug. 1, 1932. He graduated from Midland High and received an Associate’s Degree from Midland College. He was married to Wanda June Teague on Apr. 6, 1956.

Jesse Jerome Tryon

MIDLAND - Jesse Jerome Tryon, Jr., 18, of Midland, died Jan. 25, 2020 in Odessa. A Wake service will be on Jan. 31, at 7 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Funeral service will be Feb. 1, at 11 am at True-Lite Christian Fellowship with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

MISSOURI CITY - Joyce Booe, 81, of Missouri City, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 pm Feb., 2, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Feb. 1 at Ajuua's Restaurant 3205 W. Cuthbert Ave. Midland.

ODESSA - Tonya McAlpin Artzer died suddenly in her sleep at her apartment in Odessa, on Dec. 9, 2019. She was 55 years old. Born in Abilene, on Oct. 3, 1964, She grew up with her mother, father, and brother in Spur.

Apolonio (Polo) Mendez III

STANTON - Apolonio (Polo) Mendez III, 54, died Jan. 14, 2020, in a Lubbock hospital. He spent two months at the University Medical Center Burn Unit, and another two months at Covenant Specialty Hospital after suffering electrical burns. Viewing and family visitation was Jan.

Vida Angel Pinkston

TYLER - Vida Angel Pinkston was born Dec. 3, 1924 in Courtney, and died on Jan. 13, 2020, in Tyler. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU. She went on many mission trips with her church family in Stanton.

STANTON - Cipriana Lucio died Jan. 9, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Sinton. She resided in Spur, from 1964 to 1977. In 1978 she moved to Stanton and lived there for 43 years. She was a member of Guadalupanas and an active member of St.

Thomas Benavides Sanchez Sr.

MIDLAND - Thomas (Tommy) Benavides Sanchez Sr, 60, of Midland, died Jan. 11, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 2, 1959, to Paubla and Pablo Sanchez in Stanton. He became a lifelong resident of Midland. He married Irene Reyes on Mar. 28, 1980, and was married for 40 blessed years.
