Bearkat netters win Levelland tournament

- Garden City FFA members were busy last weekend competing in Area level CDE contests. All teams competed well and three teams are advancing to their respective state contests.

Parker heading to State one last time

– Grady City High School athletes heading north last weekend to Levelland for the Region I 1A Track and Field Meet at South Plains College. For many in Region I, this was the last meet of the year, but for those placing in the top two spots of each event advance the State meet in Austin in May.

Lady Bearkats win sixth straight Region golf title

ABILENE - It’s officially a Garden City tradition as the Lady Bearkats golf team won its sixth straight Class A Region Title. The Lady Kats claimed the top spot with a 53-stroke win at the Region II-A Championship on Tuesday at Abilene’s Maxwell Municipal Golf Course.

Roman, Benedict take gold at Area meet

– The Stanton Buffaloes made their way to Denver City last week for the Class 3A Area Track Meet where athletes from District 3 and District 4 compete for a chance to advance to regionals.Stanton was able to capture a handful of medals and qualify four athletes for regionals.

- Stanton ISD is proud to announce the names of its middle school students with grades good enough to make the A Honor Roll and A/B Honor Roll for the Fifth Six-Weeks.

Lady Buffs softball goes back-to-back

– The Lady Buffs softball team is on a roll picking up massive backto- back wins over Compass Academy and Crane.Stanton was in action against Compass Academy on Saturday and ended the day with a 29-6 victory.

Garden City advances 23 to Region II track meet

– Track and Field athletes from District11 and District 12 were at Veribest High School on Apr.9 to compete in the Class A Area Track Meet. Garden City had a wonderful day with both the girl’s and boy’s teams placing second overall and qualifying 23 athletes for regionals.

Lady Cats runner-up at Class A Area meet

– Track and Field athletes from District 5 and District 6 were at Dawson High School on Apr. 11 to compete in the Class A Area Track Meet. Grady athletes put up some good times and the Lady Cats finished Runner-Up in the team standings and Grady qualified several athletes for regionals.
