STANTON - Santos Barrera, 92, of Stanton, went to his Heavenly Home, Mar. 26, 2026. Santos was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Seguin, to the late Seferina Guzman Barrera and Maximo L. Barrera.
Santos was a very active parishioner of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stanton, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Santos is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife Rita Barrera.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters Juanita B. Vasquez and husband Louis, Maria B. Rejino and husband Lupe, Ramona B. Moreno and husband Ruben, Linda Sue Martinez and husband Jesus, Guadalupe B. Hagle and husband Wayne, Rita Alaniz and husband Armando; sons Santos Barrera Jr. and wife Reina, Luis R. Barrera, Robert Barrera and wife Lisa, Martin Barrera, and Joel Barrera; thirty three grandchildren, eighty three great-grandchildren, and forty five great-great grandchildren.
A visitation and rosary were Mar. 31, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was Apr. 1at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stanton. Interment followed at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
