MIDLAND - Johnny Miller, 73, of Midland, passed away Apr. 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife of 54 years and his beloved children.
Johnny was born Sept. 24, 1952, in Big Spring, to James and Gordean Miller of Stanton, the youngest of four.
Johnny married the love of his life, Lynn Sapp, Mar. 19, 1972, in Midland. Together they raised two children, Will and LeeAnn teaching them that faith, love, and family are the most important things in life.
Johnny made a living doing various jobs, but working with cattle and living on the ranch was by far his favorite and most enjoyable job. He gained his favorite friends and confidants – both human and horse – during this time.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, James and Gordean Miller, a sister, Sandra Krause, and a brother Jimmy Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; son Will Miller (Melissa) of Stanton; daughter LeeAnn Cook (Kendell) of Ft. Stockton; and grandchildren, Cooper Miller (Anna), Maddie Miller, Paislee Cook, and one great-grandchild due in July. He is also survived by one brother, Merle (Lucy) of Monahans. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in laws, as well as extended family. Johnny, Pa, as he was lovingly called, is also survived by many others who lovingly called him by his grandfather name.
The family would like to thank the staff of Legacy Ranch for giving him a loving and enjoyable last few months.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations in Johnny’s honor to West Texas Food Bank.
