Juanita Maxine Boughton Daniels

DENTON - Juanita Maxine Boughton Daniels, 91 of Denton, died June 29, 2020 in Denton. She was born in Stanton on March 25, 1929 to James L. and Cecile (Bryant) Boughton.

She married Charles James Daniels on June 2, 1947 in Copeville. Together they raised their 10 children, and quite a few extras. They pastored four churches across, their last church being the Denton church of God in Denton, from 1966 until his death in 1981. She was the church clerk for 40 years. Her passions were being a minister’s wife, loving her many, many friends and family, cooking, flowers, and birdwatching. She truly had a servant’s heart.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathie Sturgeon and Patricia Siegrist, sons, Paul Daniels, Glenn Daniels, Michael Daniels, Rickey Daniels, Gary Daniels, Mark Daniels and David Daniels, sisters, Eve Hardin, Wanda Huddleston, and Glynna Malcom, thirty-five grandchildren, sixty-five greatgranchildren and five great-great granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniels, her daughter, Towanda Daniels, her mother and father, sisters Mary Proctor, LoReta Evans, Shirley Boughton, and Barbara Jones, and brothers, James Boughton, Doyle Boughton, Maynard Boughton, Bobby Boughten and John Boughton.

A graveside service will be held on July 2, at 11 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
