Lonnie Joe Long

STANTON - Lonnie Joe Long, 72 of Stanton, died Sept.29, 2020. He was born in Sweetwater, on May 25, 1948 to the late James Bradford and Gigi (Sims) Long. He was a Veteran of the US National Guard. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 years. He also served on the Stanton Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and had served as Chief for some time.

Survivors include his wife Carlene Long; daughter Stacy Jolene Hansard and husband George of Ft Stockton; son Nathan Douglas Long and wife Sabrina of Georgia; grandchildren Laci Rodriguez and husband Joseph, Austin and Conner Long, Landon Carter and Taylor and Trey Hansard and great-grandchildren Devin and Avery Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
