STANTON - Linda Bess Bryan Angel was born May 16, 1939. She is the adopted daughter of O. B. Bryan and Johnie Bess Richards Bryan. She was raised and attended schools in Stanton. After graduating from High School she married Thomas Edward Angel Aug.10, 1956.

She attended Rutherford School of Business in Midland and worked for the Martin County Chamber of Commerce and First National Bank. Later she was employed by Stanton I.S.D. for a twenty year career. She took a leave of absense and was disabled in 1990 She was active in the First Methodist Church children’s department teaching Sunday school classes. She was an active member of Rho Xi Soriety.

Tom retired from Cap Rock Electric in 1990 and they relocated to Dallas where she was a homemaker. They cared for son Bryan as he was disabled from a 1987 illness. They also moved her parents, O. B. and Johnie Bess from Stanton to their Dallas home from 1994-1996. At the same time she was caring for O.B. and Johnie, she learned the where-abouts of her birth mother “Rosie” of Denton County. Arrangements were made for an introduction. They spent the next two years getting to know each other, but ill health took Rosie away.

While she loved the parents who raised her, she also was happy getting to know Rosie. She learned she had six half brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edward Angel; daughters Lesa Bess Angel and spouse Sheri Pettit of Houston; son, Bryan; sister, Kay Harvey of Pampa; nieces and nephews Angela Overman, Baily Bryan, Whitney Bryan, Jimmy and Vicki Bryan, Chris Bryan, Edward Bryan. John David Bryan, Brad Bryan, Rankin and Jennifer and daughter Maisie and those on the Angel side.

She was preceded in death by Parents, O. B. and Johnie Bess Bryan and brother Bobby Bryan
