Jack Norman Webb

STANTON - Jack Norman Webb, 73 of Stanton, died Feb. 9, 2021 in Stanton. A Memorial Service was Feb. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Lamesa.

He was born June 27, 1947, in Lamesa, to John Benton Webb and Mary Idella Oaks Webb.

He married Brenda Kate Webb on Oct. 21, 1967, and was immediately drafted into the army where he served as a Helicopter crew chief. He and Brenda moved from Flower Grove to Stanton, where they raised their children.

He started working at Graves Implement in 1977. After 35 years he retired in 2012. Since then he has spent his time enjoying family. He had weekly meals with his brothers and traveled the state to watch ball games and activities of his grandchildren. His favorite place to watch games was Borden County where he considered all of the kids his. The most recent travels made sure to include the latest pride and joy, Jensen his great grandchild.

He is survived by his daughter Lori Wentz of Llano; son Ryan and his wife Brenda Webb of Lamesa; brothers Robert Webb and Bob Weddle of Flower Grove, Joe Webb of Ackerly, Jerry Webb and wife Lawana of Flower Grove; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and countless nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary; Spouse of 46 years Brenda Kate Webb; brothers John Webb of Stanton, and Wayne and wife Peggy Webb of Ackerly; sisters-in-law Lafern Webb of Ackerly and Josie Deatherage of Tarzan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
